Today I am not feeling quite so bad about my camera drama of yesterday. I used my new camera this morning and I love it!!
When I started working on the Greek Petal Tutorial, I wanted a bead to put on the front of it that would show the versatility of the design, while staying somewhat true to it’s inspiration. My first attempt wasn’t so great. I had an idea of the form, but knew when I was creating it that it just didn’t communicate my idea well enough.
My first attempt. . .

Greek Amphora "prototype"
This is my second attempt and I’m very pleased with it. I know that it’s not exactly my usual style, as of late but it sure was fun to make. I’ve always wanted to make one but somehow I got off of track and the idea ended up buried in some dusty corner of my mind.

Greek Amphora
Well, I guess I’d better get back to work. . .Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Aww you’re so sweet and Mommy’s proud of you too.
LOL! Well, if you did drop the camera it wouldn’t be the first time a camera hit the floor around here this week.

Lydia, I can’t wait for the tutorial…..please no more dropping cameras! How long do you think it will take you to finish and I hope you wont stop at one.

Hi Carmen. LOL! You know those cameras can be slippery little buggers. Thanks to my little issue, I’m a bit behind in getting my tut done. I am still trying to get to know my new camera. All of the pics are finally finished and I hope to have the tut ready by Monday at the latest. I’ll blog a bit about it a little later tonight. . Thanks for asking!!
